Bolton Construction & Service of WNC, Inc. proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes every day. Being Nate-Certified surely sounds reaffirming but what does it actually mean?
NATE is an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence. It is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians.
However, not all technicians have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is discretionary. Technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without being NATE-Certified.
It’s a priority that our team is NATE-Certified. To insure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.
NATE assessment candidates earn certification in any of these areas:
- Air Conditioning
- Air Distribution
- Gas Heating
- Oil Heating
- Heat Pumps
- Hydronic Gas (service only)
- Hydronics Oil (service only)
- Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
- Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
- Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst
