Bolton Apprenticeship Programs

Bolton Apprenticeship Program

Who Can Apply?

Apprenticeship positions are open to candidates with a strong work ethic, solid character, and a drive to grow in the skilled trades. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Because this program includes online coursework and flexible scheduling, self-discipline and motivation are key. Any current Bolton employee with at least 90 days on the job is encouraged to speak with HR about applying.

What's Involved?

This four-year program blends technical instruction with real-world training. Apprentices complete:

  • 146 hours of online coursework per year, designed by industry experts.
  • 2,000 hours of on-the-job training annually.
  • One-on-one mentorship from an experienced tradesman, providing guidance and feedback.

Every apprentice will put their knowledge into real projects, developing the skills to handle any challenge. To advance through the program, apprentices must pass exams at the end of each subject and demonstrate hands-on mastery as assessed by their mentor.

Program Length & Flexibility

The standard program timeline is four years, but Bolton offers flexibility to help apprentices progress at their own pace.

  • Each 146-hour coursework session must be completed within a year.
  • Apprentices can accelerate their progress if they’re ready to take on more.
  • Those with prior experience or education may receive credit toward completion.

Bolton also provides PC access for those without a reliable computer; coursework can be completed from a smartphone.
