You’ve spoken, we’ve listened. We value our long term employees, and want to say THANK YOU in a big way! As it stands, our Years of Service Bonus gives employees who have hit their 10th year of employment, an extra week’s pay as their bonus. This continues for every 5th year after this: 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, etc. Another idea is to award these years of service with PTO instead. The way this would work is when an employee hits their 10th year of employment; they would be eligible for 1 extra day of PTO each year until they hit their 15th year of employment. At 15 years they would be eligible for 2 extra days of PTO each year until they hit their 20th year of employment, and are then eligible for 3 days of additional PTO each year until they reach their 25th year of employment, etc. . This could continue on this way until retirement.
For example, see below:
10 years – 3 weeks + 1 day PTO
15 years – 3 weeks + 2 days PTO
20 years – 3 weeks + 3 days PTO
25 years – 3 weeks + 4 days PTO, etc.
